TRAINING THE PUPPY

When getting a new puppy, it’s natural to make them feel loved by hanging out with them playing and cuddling them all day, we tend to forget that there are number of things that you need to do in those first few days and weeks to make sure that your new pup stays healthy and pays attention to good behaviour and being obedient to your commands .your adult dog when well behaved will be the best example and you’ll be glad you did train her well from the start..
This post will tend to answer some questions that followed the last post on dogs for protection.
Dog training centerCreate a schedule: depending on your work as an individual, create a suitable schedule whereby you’ll have some minutes with your pup to train her as the earlier the better.
Below are some tips to help you achieve positive training sessions with your pup
Feeding: A pup should be fed at least three times daily with the routine morning, afternoon and evening. The reason for this is because a puppy can only accumulate necessary nutrients that will aid her growth in these early months, so it is advised to follow this schedule for about three to four months, then switch to twice a day except if she’s on treatment of any kind
Your puppy will grow up to know when to expect food and when not to.

Potty time: It is advised to train your puppy to use the potty about two to three hours but as she grows up can be adjusted to just mornings and evenings so as not to give much room for disturbance of having to use the potty often, teaching her to use a particular place also helps in aiding fast potty time…the potty time helps pups to know that it not allowed to mess up everywhere except the particular place they are taken to everyday and luckily their instinct tells them that once you show it to them!
Keywords: Dogs work with instinct and their nose, they don’t have the capacity to grab sentences, so key words are advised to be used when training your pup, keywords like come, go sit, stand, no, play, good, bad are basic words to start with, keep the words simple, they’ll get used to their meaning as you use it for them depending on what they’re doing that warrants those words each time.

Exercise and play: It’s necessary to have that special moment with your pup, having the time for exercise is very important as it is advised you start your pup’s day with exercise so she can burn away all excess energy that gives them the strength to bark when not needed and other unimaginable things dogs do…it is advised to exercise your pup before the first meal of the day, after which you can give her the first meal and then walk around again.
Keep these general routines going throughout each day, Exercise, meal, exercise, bonding, meal, and so on.
By creating a good schedule for your puppy and starting small with tasks like feeding times, potty times, teaching keywords, and exercising and playing, you will not only save yourself future headaches, you’ll also ensure that your new pup grows up to be the best that she can be.
