Friendship is one of the blessings of life and when a friend passes on, we owe to Friendship to honour such friend even in death.
A friend is someone who is there for you at all times even when times are hard and you have no reason to smile.
Okay, let me go straight to it, dogs are humans best friend but how many dog owners honour their dogs(friend) in death?
Hold that thought! But dogs have no soul. I know that's what's on your mind. A friend that has kept watch over you and yours for more than 5 years, took the pressure off you by walking with you in the park even when he doesn't want to but for a friend he'll do anything. He has never complained about your company but treasured and enjoyed the moments you spend together. He is the first to greet you welcome home before your "lovely family" even does. Is a proper burial too much to ask for such friend? Even when you gave it leftovers to eat, he ate with love....please try that with your children...
How would you feel if you were dumped in the refuse or thrown into a ditch by a friend? Dogs have no soul as some people will say but I find that hard to believe because they are more soulful than some with the creator's breathe. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander.
I honour you my dear friend and first Dog that attracted and showed me the meaning of true love of a dog to its human friend and proved to me the saying that 'a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than it loves itself', I wish i saw death coming to take you away from me, would have waited for you die in my arms but i also thought it wasn't easy for you to watch me see you die.
I took it upon myself to give you a befitting burial even after the stress of the day, i could never imagine throwing your body away in the refuse dump, after all you were and was a loyal dog.
I will always remember and miss you dear friend RALPH.
